Poor sweet Rebecca just can’t seem to get a break. She is a terminally unemployed actress living in NYC with an equally unsuccessful screenwriter. Her shoebox apartment and humdrum life is ridiculed by her WASP family, consisting of senators and lawyers.
So when Rebecca gets her “ big break” and is invited to understudy Hollywood’s new “it” star in Electra it appears that things are looking up. She even finds herself with a handsome fireman boyfriend after a slew of bad relationships. Unfortunately, Rebecca is treated more like a stagehand than an actress on set. Her daily job requires being screamed at by the cast and crew, that is if they can remember her name.
When the star falls ill, Rebecca is finally able to showcase her talent. Turns out she is an incredible actress and hungry for success... but how hungry is too hungry?
