Short Film
"Bloodline" UK 2008, 13 mins. - Sunday, Nov 2, 5:30pm
starring Melanie Gutteridge, Christopher Cazenove; Dir: Rupert Bryan

London, present day. After taking a group of bloodthirsty tourists on a macabre and visceral ‘Jack The Ripper Murder Walk’, tour guide and expert in Ripperology, Peter Draycott (Christopher Cazenove) is approached by one of the group, writer Laura Turner (Melanie Gutteridge) who tells him that she has almost completed a book that will finally reveal the Rippers true identity. When he dismisses her book, albeit in a charming manner, as yet one more un-provable Ripper theory, Laura decides to follow Peter through the back streets of the East End to the hidden place where he does his research.
Confronting Peter in his ‘lair’ with her theory regarding why the Ripper was never caught, Laura is suddenly and shockingly caught up in a chilling, blood-soaked climax… Filmed in some of London’s most unusual and little-seen locations, including the actual alleyways and squares where Jack The Rippers victims were hacked to death and with strong performances from both lead actors.
Bloodline contains moments of hair-raising suspense and shocks that will satisfy even the most gore-hungry horror fan.
